SN TT League Round 12 - Results

The final round of the 2022 South Norfolk Time Trial League brought the best out of the strong field of 17 riders, who all stepped it up a notch to post a host of personal bests.

At the pointy end of the table it was a close battle between the usual suspects, with Jacob Chambers taking the glory with a very impressive sub 21minute ride ahead of fellow VC Norwich rider Chris Holmes and Epic Orange’s Dan Blackburn. After a season of trading the top spot, it is Chris Holmes who has taken the overall league win just a single point ahead of Jacob Chambers.

Carl Mace of Velouse Flyers has truly shown that dedication, hard work and consistency pays off having raced in all 12 league events this year, setting an all time personal best of 23:02 - bettering his previous best time which he posted at the age of 18, some 25 years ago. The magic 25mph average will surely come for Jack Foord, Tri-Harder, who also set a personal best of 24:07.

CCB’s Adam Cross paired up with Phil Large to test their legs on a MTB tandem, with knobbly tyres pumped up to their max the pair rumbled along, finishing in 23:21 - plans are afoot for skinny tyres and aero bars ready for next season!

Our own Mark Fairhead rounded out a strong season, taking the top spot in Division 3 with a time of 25:41. Philip Hargreaves of VC Norwich and local legend Geoff Frost of VeloVelocity had a good battle in the road bike category, this week setting times of 24:24 and 24:43 respectively, bit it is Geoff who has clinched 2nd place overall, behind the very rapid Sandy Telfer of NABC.

The full league points tables can be found here.

This coming Wednesday sees the final CCB 10 of the season, before two 5 mile events with the option to ride as a pair, the first rider is off at the earlier start time of 18:45.
